该剧依据滞销书「Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the Couple Who Taught America How to Love」改编,故事描写了上世纪六十年月所谓的「人类性行动摸索者」William Masters（Michael Sheen）跟Virginia Johnson（Lizzy Caplan）的生涯及对事先风行文明的影响。 Nicholas D'Agosto!Teddy Sears!Beau Bridges!
