剧情：
Scott（卡斯帕·凡·迪恩 饰）从前曾是一名救火员,此次他与一群生态学家构成了一支步队前去一处油井,目标是在那边吊挂写有生态口号的横幅。然而非常不巧的是,他们在毛病的时光去了毛病的处所,那边竟然有一颗在多少秒内行将爆炸的准时炸弹。当Scott一行人躲起来之际,炸弹爆炸了,并惹起了激烈的火龙卷。火龙卷所到之处无一幸免,全体都被捣毁。本来,这处油井中所含的并不是一般燃料,而是由Synco公司研发的MT-11试验燃料。好不轻易逃过一劫,Scott等人又被告状制作恐惧变乱,受到Synco公司的追捕,他们必需赶在洛杉矶被捣毁之前阻拦火龙卷的残虐。
